Here be a picture which shows off how I want my film to look more or less. I do want the final piece to have darker shadows and less light reflection off of the walls though.
Well, I thought I'd pose Cthulhu so I could determine whether his texture was good enough. Basically, I'd like to be at least 80% happy with it and I'm not! I'll fix it tomorrow though.
That said, here be my finished model of 'Cthulhu'. He's lacking a displacement map for the skin detail and a texture map for the colours but this is basically what he'll look like.
Basically, for my Masters Project I'm making a story about a Pirate Hobo and a Cthulhu-inspired sea monster. After watching some David Attenborough and remembering the head of the good old Netherdrake, I decided to see what a shark head looked like on my monster:
It's alright, but I've been told I should stick with the original Squid head:
